Overview of the New Hero Suyou Mobile Legends

With the release of the newest Mobile Legends hero at the 8th anniversary celebration in September 2024, Suyou has become a topic of conversation because of his killer visuals and phenomenal looking gameplay.

But is Soyou really who she wants to be? Will he be the main mover in the latest meta? Since its release, we’ve played several games with MLBB’s newest hero, so today we’re here to explain whether Soyou is really worth the hype.

And if you’re like me and need the latest and greatest Mobile Legends characters in the game instantly, check out U7BUY for affordable ML top ups.

Eternal Mask Suyou Character Overview

Suyou, known as the Mask of Immortality is the last descendant of the Nuo Exorcist and houses an immortal god within. This is what Mobile Legends gives him with varied abilities and playing styles that allow him to channel gods into various forms to purge evil.

But realistically, MLBB Soyou is our brooding and charismatic darling whose kit and overall design is one of our favorites to release in the Mobile Legends world in quite a long time.

Soyou’s Roles, Paths & Specialties

Soyou is a hybrid Assassin/Fighter hero who deals physical damage. In general, he is a Melee-oriented Mobile Legends character, but his abilities allow him to close the distance or attack from a distance.

Usually, you will play Soyou as a Jungler, but he can also excel as an ML EXP Laner. Whatever the choice, you will collect the number of kills either through Siege Minions or forest monsters to fatten up and then take on the ganking role.

He can also work as an engagement as he has innate Damage Reduction and health regeneration abilities.

The specialty of Mobile Legends characters is basically chasing enemies and dealing large burst damage. The good news is that through our own experience, he excels in the role making him a great ML hero to invest in with your Twilight Pass.

And with the meta currently favoring dual Jungler teams, Soyou fits perfectly into the current meta, making him a deadly enemy to face.

Not only does he have incredible damage potential, but he is also strong enough to be able to hold his own in a fight. Thanks to his hybrid Mobile Legends Assassin/Fighter role he can handle many of the carry duties you’d expect from an MLBB character of this type.

Overview of Soyou’s Abilities

Passive Ability – Temporarily Immortal

Soyou’s passive ability, Transient Immoral functions as a kind of buff depending on whether you tap-cast or hold-cast her skill. Depending on the cast type, he gets different buffs and performs different actions depending on the skill.

But in general, using any skill will give Soyou in his Mortal form a movement speed buff of +40, and reduce the interval between his Basic Attacks.

Resisting use of any skill will put Soyou in his Immortal form, which increases his Basic Attack damage by 125% and also buffs him with a Damage Reduction of 20%. Additionally, while in Immortal form, Soyou gains 1% Damage Reduction for every 20 additional Physical Attacks. This buff can achieve Damage Reduction of up to 40%.

Overall, you’ll want to play Soyou in Eternal form while chasing or running away from enemies, and once you’re in a fight, slip into Eternal form to deal damage and sustain yourself.

Skill 1 – Blade Wave

Tapping the Blade Surge skill will make Soyou throw his weapon in the specified direction and deal 250-330 Physical Damage +100% Extra Physical Attack to enemies in the targeted path. He also Blinks to the location and performs an additional slash which produces 375 – 495 Physical Damage + 150% Extra Physical Attack.

Holding the Blade Surge skill will place it in Immortal form and attack in the targeted direction, dealing 250 – 330 Physical Damage +100% Extra Physical Attack. When it hits an enemy hero, it will stop and stun the Mobile Legends hero for 0.6 seconds.

How far the charge distance is determined by how long the skill is held.

Skill 2 – Soul Severing

Tapping the Soul Sever skill makes Suyou perform a sweeping attack in a fan-shaped area which produces 300 – 492 Physical Damage plus +200 Extra Physical Attack and +20% HP Lost to the target.

Continuously casting the Soul Sever skill will transform him into Immortal form and perform 3 slashing attacks in a fan-shaped area with the first two swings dealing 250 – 410 Physical Damage and +80% Extra Physical Attack respectively, while the last swing deals more powerful 400 – 656 Physical Damage +128% Extra Physical Attack. The final attack also restores 150 – 230 +50% Extra Physical Attack for Soyou.

This is Soyou’s bread and butter ML skill and should be used in most fights. Holding the skill not only triggers the Damage Reduction buff, but hitting the enemy with the final attack also restores his health which not only deals major damage but also helps him survive the fight longer.

Skill 3 – Evil Queller

Soyou’s final skill, Evil Queller replaces his Ultimate and is called ‘Skill 3’. This skill has 5 level increases and can be leveled up from level 1, unlike standard Ultimate.

Tapping the skill makes Suyou slide backwards and swing his MLBB weapon in the aiming direction. It deals 420 – 580 Physical Damage +120% Extra Physical Attack in a rectangular area. This skill also reduces the movement speed of enemy heroes by 30% for 1.5 seconds.

Holding the skill made Suyou channel Immortal power and fire an arrow in the targeted direction. This deals 580 – 800 Physical Damage +165% Extra Physical Attack. Holding a skill will increase the skill’s range.

Final Verdict – Is Soyou Worth It?

Taking all this into consideration, where does Soyou actually stand in the game at the moment? Personally, Soyou is a very fun MLBB hero to play and is very versatile as he can not only deal damage but also sustain himself quite well.

This doesn’t just happen to Soyou, but she does it amazingly.

According to the last 30 days, Suyou has a subpar Win rate of 48.60% but ranks 7th with a Ban rate of 30.74%. Even though he is not the most consistently picked or has the highest ‘OP’ win rate, because Mobile Legends is ranked 7th in Ban level it does show that players will have difficulty fighting him.

However, for now, it’s too early to say how dominant (or underutilized) he will be in the meta, but we expect him to remain in power in the long run. Therefore, for all your Mobile Legends needs like a new account, or MLBB redemption code, check out U7BUY!
